Erin G. Wesley: a cinematographer’s site with hidden rooms

The whole site is built around Erin’s film reel. The main gallery is fast on purpose: jump a project, then another, without a heavy page load. Hidden beats sit under a simple surface — you only find them if you poke around. Z-Space is the piece people remember: a zoom into the whole catalogue at once. The grid follows the cursor and you can scrub forward or back through time — a playful cut into how Erin thinks.

Erin needed an ability to manage all the new content she was generating. For content management we used Strapi, which was completely customizable and allowed us to build it specifically for Erin’s day-to-day site management needs. Because of Strapi&#39;s minimalistic interface it is easy to interact and work with content rather than navigate the dashboard.

VANA: an app built around the breath

The app is courses and breath patterns with a repeating pulse and sound. Recommendations, progress and feedback sit on top. The look comes from the breath itself: gradients, cropped stills, soft blur — still and moving at once.

Facilitators drop patterns into a dashboard and assemble courses around them. The Pattern Builder is the centre of that loop — fewer clicks between an idea and a finished course.

Admin looks like the facilitator portal, then adds moderation, money reports, user control and analytics.

Matthew Fisher:
a long lasting relationships

A React storefront talks to Shopify’s Storefront API for cart, products and most copy. That split lets the look and the galleries go further than a stock theme, while checkout still behaves like a shop. Visual problems get studio-written tools. The two we reach for most: SAW scroll and the frame predictor.

The cobbler’s pair: a site for the design studio itself

CSS and JS alone were not enough. React plus PixiJS and three.js on the front, Prismic on the back. GLSL shaders push the heavy math to the GPU so several animations can run at once without the fan screaming.

The look is spare and loud at once — it fits how the pieces move.

We tried a pile of motion references. None of them felt like this studio, so most of the animation and interaction was written here, not copied from a Dribbble board.Keeping that motion at 60 fps on an old laptop or a phone was the real fight. Shaders moved work to the GPU; then we cut dead code until the look stayed and the frame rate held.

Next JS

Trophy Stout, a flagship of Anheuser-Busch InBev Nigeria, ran a campaign at the British Museum — holder of more than 900 objects from the Kingdom of Benin, including bronzes taken by British troops. The site lets people walk those stolen works.

The campaign pulled more than 390,000 Nigerian signatures — the largest petition on the continent at the time — plus 150 million earned impressions and 50 million people reached in Nigeria. More than 97 Benin Bronzes came back. Cannes Lions shortlisted the work in 2023.

Two jobs at once: a museum-grade look at the objects, and a social push to send them home. The hard piece was an interactive 3-D gallery of the original masks — close enough to feel like a hall you can walk.

Models, lights and lean textures took a long pass so the 3-D held up without a fat download. With MakeReign we built a hall you can enter without a visa or a flight.
